This blog is Roy Lawson's take on technology, community events, and comments on recent user group meetings.

At last nights user group meeting which David Hayden spoke on, we got into an interesting discussion regarding TFS, Subversion, and ultimately TRAC.  My main concern with TRAC was that it wasn't integrated with the IDE where you are able to manage work items quite easily in TFS.

Our next user group meeting is on Tuesday, August 17th @ 6:30 pm.  We will be featuring a Chris Hance who is going to speak on .Net fundamentals!  This is a can't miss for those of you who have been asking for a back to basics meeting!

And as usual you can expect free soda and a drawing for door prizes.  If you can make our Tuesday meeting please RSVP by emailing Roy Lawson with the subject line of "RSVP".   For those of you who have never attended a meeting, it is free.  Be sure to invite your friends and co-workers.

About the speaker...

Chris Hance is a Windows application developer who dabbles in WCF, database design, and whatever else needs fixing that day. He has earned MCDBA, MCPD, and a BS in IT, generally long after learning on his own. Current interests include software craftsmanship, design patterns, carpentry, and keeping up with a two-year-old.
